Transfixed on Transformers

This is Warren. He is three and a half and he has a problem...

He is addicted to Transformers. I'm not talking about he really likes them, I am talking about eats, sleep, and even dreams transformers. I have to blame my mom for this one, it is 100% her fault! It all started when she let the kids watch the edited version of Transformers. He was hooked the first time. He wanted to watch it every day, multiple times a day. For Christmas my mom bought him every transformer she could get her hands on. He then started to become his favorite transformer of the day. Someday he would be and Autobot and save everything he could. Other days he would be a decepticon and beat up every one and thing he could get his hands on. Then for two weeks or more my mom and I searched the Internet to find Transformers 2 edited. It was a lot tougher then I thought, but we found a site that required us to buy 10 edited movies in one order. Ouch! We did get it. Crazy right? He then wanted to watch both in a day. I was starting to loose my mind. But I could probably win any quote game from both of those movies. I was finally able to get him to do other things then want to watch the movies but it usually was reading about transformers, playing transformers or playing trains with transformers. We had to feed his transformers, tuck in his transformers into bed each night and let them in our family prayer circle. Wow, does this kid think about anything else? I took the kids to a book fair at school. Go figure, my son would be able to find the ONE book in the entire room about transformers. It was the Cartoon Network version. That made me start thinking, if there is a book that has all of the characters then there must be a cartoon. So I did a little research and found out that there are three seasons on DVD! I was thrilled. The next day Warren and I went to the store and was able to buy seasons 1 and 2. I really didn't want him to sit and veg in front of the TV for the next six months, so I got this really great idea. I really want Warren to get serious about potty training, so I told him that if he wanted to watch a cartoon, then he had to pee in the potty. I had no clue how well that plan would go! He is now on the first episode from season two! It isn't a battle to get him to go, he actually goes in willingly! How great. I guess I can deal with this addiction if he gets potty trained!

( See his pile of transformers he is sleeping with? That isn't all of them either!)

I love this bribe! We bribe Jordan with movies and shows and anything to go to sleep. I need a nice bribe like this.. something he loves to use to potty because I have a CANDY hog and that for sure can't be a bribe!! GOod Luck with potty success!!!
